What it catches
Rules are written per equipment category, so an infusion pump quote is checked against what an infusion pump quote should contain.
- Adders in one quote and silent in another — freight, install, tax, training
- Software licences and annual fees quoted apart, or not at all
- Warranties shorter than the rest, or parts-only
- Quantities that do not match your spec or the other vendors
- Units that do not compare — per channel against per system
- Arithmetic that does not reconcile, and quotes about to expire
Every number points at a page
Each figure is shown beside the text it was read from. When the committee asks where a number came from, you click it.
Confidence is computed, not claimed
From whether the cited text contains the value, whether the arithmetic reconciles, and whether two runs agree. The model's opinion of itself is not an input.

Delete a comparison, delete your account, or set how long archived purchases are kept — from inside the app, with no email to us.
Where your documents go
A vendor quote carries that vendor's pricing, given to your hospital and not to us. Here is exactly where it travels.
Your documents are read by an AI model. QuoteVitals extracts figures and terms using Claude, Anthropic's model, through Anthropic's commercial API, so your documents leave our systems for the length of that request. We say it plainly because your vendor-security review will ask.
Under Anthropic's commercial terms, content sent through the API is not used to train models, you retain all rights to your inputs, and you own the outputs. Anthropic deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days. We train nothing of our own on your documents, and we never aggregate vendor pricing across customers into a benchmark or report — not in any form, not anonymised.

No patient data. This is a purchasing tool for commercial documents. It is not built for protected health information and we do not act as a HIPAA business associate for it.
Files are encrypted in transit and at rest, and every record is scoped to your organisation at the database level. Full detail in the privacy policy and the retention and deletion policy. Need a DPA or a security questionnaire completed? Ask us.

Can we use it now?
Not yet. QuoteVitals is in development and is not taking customers. Everything described on this page is what the product does, not what it will do one day, but it is not open. Write to direction@fandonia.app and we will tell you when it opens.
Do you read our quotes?
No. Nobody here opens your documents, checks your comparison, or approves anything. Review happens inside your organisation, by the people you invite. The only exception is if you ask us to look at something to solve a support problem.
What happens to our vendors' pricing?
It stays in your account and builds your comparison. We never aggregate pricing across customers into a benchmark or market report, and never show one customer's figures to another. A tool that compares prices is only worth trusting if it is not quietly building a price book out of what it sees.
Can we delete everything?
Yes, and you do it yourself. Deleting a comparison removes every document, extraction and flag belonging to it. Deleting your account takes effect immediately from Settings. An owner can also set how long archived purchases are kept before they are purged automatically.
Does it tell us which vendor to pick?
No. It normalises what the quotes say and points at what looks missing or inconsistent. Which vendor wins is a judgement about clinical fit, service, relationships and risk, and that belongs to your team.
What if it reads a number wrong?
That is what the review screen is for. Every figure is shown beside its source text, low-confidence readings are highlighted, and correcting one takes a click. Corrections are remembered for that vendor inside your organisation.
Who is it for?
Hospital biomedical and clinical engineering managers, and the department leader running the purchase — any department. Typically $20,000 to $500,000, three to six vendors, twenty to sixty pages a quote. Not built for teams already running Coupa, Jaggaer or Ariba.

QuoteVitals is built by Fandonia LLC, a small independent software company in the United States. The same rules apply here as to everything Fandonia makes: no advertising, no third-party analytics, nothing sold or traded, nothing used to train anything.
